Points of Departure: alternative submission formats for Teaching in Higher Education

The journal editors are keen to encourage submissions that move away from the standard academic paper into more experimental territory. Our ‘Points of Departure’ option exists to enable colleagues to send us critical and reflective articles, images, poems, plans, responses, controversies and polemics: important work that may not be best represented as a conventional journal article.

Points of Departure are blind reviewed by the Executive Editorial group, and should be around 3,000 words or – if they are image-based – a rough equivalent. If you have any queries about acceptable formats and approaches, please contact the PoD Editor, Professor Sian Bayne.
